Principal Lawyer

Full time (flexible)

Sellick Partnership is pleased to be working with an East Midlands-based Local Authority, assisting them with the recruitment for a Principal Lawyer. This role involve managing the planning, litigation, and regulatory team.

The duties of the successful Principal Lawyer:

  • Managing a team overseeing legal services primarily relating to planning, litigation, governance, and regulatory affairs, providing expert guidance and support
  • Directly line managing a team of 7, including Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and a Legal Administrator
  • Being a part of the senior management team, supporting the Monitoring Officer in legal oversight and risk management
  • Attending meetings

Experience required:
