Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Principal Landscape Planner with LVIA experience to lead on wind farms, solar, transmission, data centre, and urban projects across the UK and internationally. Based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, you will guide technical deliverables and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

You will apply landscape planning expertise, manage workstreams, mentor staff, and contribute to proposals while promoting sustainable, resilient places.

Qualifications

• Master’s or postgraduate qualification in landscape architecture or equivalent.
• Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute or equivalent accreditation.
• Experience in landscape architecture, planning and LVIA, including wind farm projects.
• Strong analytical and consultancy skills for issues, options and recommendations.
• Ability to lead workstreams and deliver quality on time.
• Knowledge of industry standards, practice, legislation and guidance.
• Excellent written, graphic and oral communication with clients and teams.
• Ability to mentor staff and use GIS, Office and design software.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced landscape planning and assessment expertise to identify issues and develop robust solutions.
• Lead and coordinate significant landscape workstreams and ensure high-quality outputs.
• Prepare and present written and visual materials for clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and provide day-to-day technical guidance.
• Manage workloads, delivery, and communications within programmes.
