Senior/Principal Landscape Architect
Full-time – Manchester, United Kingdom

A leading design studio is seeking a talented and motivated Senior or Principal Landscape Architect to join its Manchester city centre team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for sustainable place-making and a desire to contribute meaningfully to people, places, and communities through innovative landscape design.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment that champions design creativity and responsible urbanism. The role involves contributing to both UK and international projects, offering candidates the chance to work on diverse and meaningful schemes.

The Role:
The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of projects from concept through to implementation. They will be given real responsibilities and career development opportunities within a nurturing and creative studio. Flexibility in working arrangements and a strong team culture are key aspects of the studio's ethos.

This position provides scope to help shape a growing portfolio and contribute to design leadership across a range of environments, including arid landscapes. The studio fosters a people- and nature-centred approach to landscape architecture, with an emphasis on design excellence and sustainability.

Key Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience
  2. Recognised landscape architecture qualifications; Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) preferred
  3. Strong design and creative abilities, demonstrated through a robust portfolio
  4. Experience delivering projects in the UK; international (particularly arid landscape) experience advantageous
  5. Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp; Revit proficiency is a bonus
  6. Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
  7. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and consultants
  8. A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a passion for making a positive impact through design
