Principal Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java SpringBoot AWS microservices) Hybrid WFH

Are you a Java technologist with technical leadership skills seeking a role where you can work on ground breaking technology, continually learning and progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role?

You could be joining a global technology consultancy.

As a Principal Java Developer you will take a lead role in architecture, design, development and delivery of a range of transformational projects for clients, mainly within the financial services sector and with a focus on driving the migration of legacy systems to AWS and introducing CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

You'll join a collaborative team with a focus on engineering best practice and continuous improvement of client systems; you will have lots of business and client exposure and will have a great deal of influence on technology choices / solution design.

Location / WFH:

There's a hybrid work from home policy with 2-3 days a week in the London, City office, you'll join a friendly, diverse, upbeat team.

About you:

• You're an experienced Software Developer with a strong understanding of best practices and experience within financial services
• You have strong Java 8+ skills including multi-threading and concurrency
• You have experience with SpringBoot and microservices environments
• You have strong AWS knowledge and experience
• You have a good knowledge of REST APIs
• You have a thorough understanding of software development and Computer Science fundamentals such as Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Design Patterns
• You have a good knowledge of Web and Architectural patterns such as SOLID principles
• You have a strong appreciation of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and deploying software to AWS
• You're collaborative, enjoy problem solving and interacting with clients
