Principal Integrity Engineer - Pressure System, Derby

Job Description
  • Leading and delivering power plant integrity assessments.
  • Developing risk-based inspection strategies.
  • Providing technical support and advice to clients.
  • Assessing inspection results, making run/repair/replace decisions.
  • Producing formal technical reports and other project deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Creating proposals, tender return documents, and developing new business.
  • Mentoring and developing less experienced integrity engineers.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of standards, legislation, and good practices.

The role involves site visits within the UK and abroad to meet project requirements.

The candidates must have experience in:

  • Integrity assessment of defective power plant components (low and high temperature, including reverse code calculation, fracture mechanics, finite element analysis).
  • Legislative compliance, specifically UK PSSR.
  • Power plant inspection (steam and water pressure parts, boiler tube surveys, support surveys), with understanding of materials selection, damage/degradation mechanisms, and life assessment.
  • Power plant mechanical engineering.
  • Power plant operations and maintenance.
