Job summary

Selfridges is seeking a Principal Integration Engineer to define technical direction and guide modernisation across the integration estate. You will lead hands-on delivery, shape the architecture, and establish patterns and standards for scalable, secure, API-driven integrations.

The role requires deep experience in enterprise integration, API design, and mentoring teams, with a focus on compliant, resilient systems across the retail technology stack.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in enterprise integration, preferably in retail.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware (SOA/ODI/MFT), Boomi APIM, GraphQL is beneficial.
• Designing scalable, secure integration architectures for complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP) and data formats (XML, JSON).
• Proven ability to lead a small integration team and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and standards for integration engineering across Selfridges.
• Own integration delivery and roadmaps, ensuring coherent system architecture and governance.
• Define patterns, guardrails and best practices for system-to-system integrations, APIs, events, and workflows.
• Provide hands-on leadership for Oracle SOA integrations and related technologies.
• Drive modern integration patterns including API-first design, event-driven architectures and cloud-native components.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Solution Architects to translate requirements into robust designs.
