Job description

nexos are looking for an experienced Principal Instrument Engineer on a contract basis for approximately 4 months. This role involves taking ownership of instrument & control engineering activities, ensuring technical quality within budget and schedule.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer-focused environment, particularly with modular instrument capabilities. A strong background in instrumentation and control design, compliance with industry standards, and experience working across multi-discipline teams are essential. Responsibilities include supervising team workloads, maintaining effective communication with clients and project stakeholders, and ensuring high standards in engineering deliverables.

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio, including tendering, continuous improvement, competence assurance, and engineering deliverables. Key duties involve maintaining project plans, tracking progress, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Regular engagement with customer focal points and participation in project meetings are required, along with reviewing and approving engineering outputs, including digital approvals.

Essential skills include strong communication and leadership abilities, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Instrumentation Engineering and Chartered Engineer status. Offshore certifications such as BOSIET and MIST are advantageous.
