Shared Application Services (SAS) is a rapidly expanding area within the Home Office, focused on application development and support, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
As part of the DDaT’s SAS Level 2 (L2) Support Team, you will monitor the Home Office’s core technology, infrastructure, applications, and services, ensuring 24/7/365 support and recovery.
You will contribute to technical estate management, utilizing the latest technologies, methodologies, and best practices in service management. The team aims to develop intelligent solutions for real-time monitoring, automation, and service industrialisation, with AI and automation playing key roles.
As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a technical leader, shaping strategic and tactical engineering roadmaps, ensuring technologies are future-ready, and maximizing value from investments.
You will promote engineering best practices across the Home Office, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement, empowering teams to adopt advanced approaches.
You may manage operational relationships with suppliers, ensuring services meet industry, regulatory, and contractual standards.
You will lead infrastructure teams in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining solutions aligned with policies and strategic goals, collaborating with technical architects to shape the service catalogue and improve operability.
