Job Description:
Building a sustainable tomorrow

We are seeking a Principal Information Assurance Officer to join us on a Major Project at Devonport dockyard in Plymouth, Devon where we are refurbishing the Royal Navy dockyard.

Due to the site being a high security military naval base, additional security checks will need to be made – BPSS level security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process.

  • Operate 4-5 days a week on-site in Devonport, as required by the site, with the remainder working from home.

Your mission

You will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a subject matter expert for the supply chain’s information management.
  • Ensuring all supply chain passes the necessary criteria for data classification.
  • Performing audits on existing supply chain processes.
  • Reviewing responses to prequalifying questionnaires (PQQ) sent to suppliers prior to tender.
  • Providing training and guidance to the KBJV team in procurement and information management.
  • Supporting and completing ITSO applications for onsite hardware and software.
  • Understanding project hardware and software requirements and communicating with the BIM Lead and Project Information Manager.
  • Representing the company at internal and external meetings as needed.
  • Maintaining high safety and environmental standards per company policies and reporting any issues.
Who are we looking for?
  • Degree in a related discipline (logistics, security, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and Cyber Essentials.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills within a diverse team.
  • Membership in professional security or cybersecurity organizations (e.g., The Security Institute, CSyP, UKCSC, RSES).
  • Experience in auditing, training, and mentoring supply chain teams.
  • Experience working in secure environments, MOD, or similar.
  • Understanding of systems and network mapping, government security by design processes.
  • Background in logistics, supply chain management, and information security.
