Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Principal Information Architect to drive metadata and language architecture for AI-enabled platforms. You will develop metamodels, create metadata assets, and design domain-specific languages, while engaging with stakeholders to implement architecture standards across a large engineering environment.

You will collaborate with data offices, product teams, and engineers to ensure semantic consistency, provenance, and secure, auditable data flows across complex systems.

Qualifications

• Create logical and physical data models for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Use UML modeling tools to express models clearly.
• Apply metamodel concepts (UML/MOF) to govern modeling approaches.
• Work with controlled vocabularies and metadata standards for consistency.
• Produce and interpret mappings and lineage to explain data relationships.
• Translate models into languages and domain-specific languages with ASTs.
• Program in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C++ and build language tooling components.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate and review requirements.
• Design metadata/language architectures supporting AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the metamodel to support business needs.
• Create and evolve metadata assets: vocabularies, mappings, lineage, and data content descriptions.
• Build and maintain mappings between metadata and software assets.
• Design and maintain DSLs representing metadata structures.
• Prototype tooling that captures, integrates, validates, and generates code from metadata.
• Engage stakeholders to communicate architecture vision and standards.
• Architect metadata foundations enabling AI capabilities across engineering workflows.
• Establish governance for metadata-driven patterns and AI-enabled platforms.
