A leading council in Hounslow seeks a Principal In-House Counsel to provide high-quality advisory legal support across various governance and commercial activities. The role is ideal for a legal expert with experience in managing legal frameworks, aiming to make a positive impact within the community.
Job Title: Principal In-House Counsel (Deputy Monitoring Officer)
Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 3 Months
Hourly Rate: 37.37 PAYE or 49.83 per hour Umbrella.
Working Pattern: Full Time - 35 hours per week

About Us:
We are excited to introduce a key addition to our newly formed, dynamic "Legal Hub." As the Principal In-House Counsel (Deputy Monitoring Officer), you will play a pivotal role at the heart of the Council's commercial and governance activities. This position is primarily advisory, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality legal support rather than managing a heavy transactional caseload.
Role Overview:
In this position, you will provide essential legal guidance on governance, strategic developments, commercial matters, and transformational projects. You will be responsible for delivering solution-focused legal advice to internal clients and members while ensuring high standards of probity and compliance with Council policies and the law. Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment where kindness is valued, and positive outcomes are prioritised.
