Bring your skills as a Principal ICA Engineer, playing a vital role in instrumentation and control/automation engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

We specialise in all aspects of instrumentation and control/automation across sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry-leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Cardiff office.

Your Purpose

• Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant standards and codes, ensuring high quality.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
• Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones and programmes.
• Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

What you can bring

• Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer.
• Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• Knowledge of ICA design (instrumentation, PLC, SCADA systems), motor control systems, system architecture, communication networks, P&ID’s, ATEX installation practices, functional safety, control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules, and system requirements within process/industrial environments.
• Proficiency in digital analysis packages, following standards, practices, and guidance.
