Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Hydraulic / Flood Risk Modeller to join our Sustainable Water Management Team in Manchester. You will contribute to a national programme of flood risk work across government, water, transport and energy sectors, taking on a technical role that shapes project direction and helps develop our national hydraulic modelling capability.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in fluvial and pluvial hydraulic modelling.
• Experience leading modelling studies and reviewing models for statutory bodies.
• Commercial awareness including project management and bid support.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in infrastructure, local authority or national government projects.
• Strong communication skills; ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Chartered status or close to achievement.
• GIS, FCERM studies, Flood Risk Assessments, flood policy knowledge and UK flood estimation methods are a plus.

Our Sustainable Water Management Team is growing, and we are looking for Hydraulic / Flood Risk Modellers who want to make a real impact. You will play a key role in delivering our national programme of flood risk work, supporting major infrastructure, FCERM studies and strategic projects across government, water, transport and energy sectors. This is your opportunity to take on a technical role that will influence the direction of projects, collaborate with a range of disciplines and help guide the development of our national hydraulic modelling capability.
