Wood in Reading is seeking a Principal HVAC Engineer to join on a contract basis.

The role involves providing HVAC services across refinery, petrochemical, and energy transition FEED and EPCM projects.

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform HVAC engineering activities for projects
  • Potential to act as Lead HVAC Engineer if required
  • Review and approve HVAC engineering deliverables
  • Assist in planning and scheduling of discipline activities
  • Coordinate with all disciplines for deliverables
  • Design and substantiate ventilation systems at a Principal Level
  • Produce ventilation system design documents such as VFDs, BoD, sizing calculations, control philosophies
  • Deliver equipment specifications and design assessment reports
  • Manage scope and schedule changes per Change Control processes
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations
  • Complete work within budget and schedule constraints
  • Prepare estimates and schedules
  • Size HVAC equipment as needed for project stage
  • Hybrid working arrangements are available.
