Job summary

A shared HR service is seeking a Principal HR Adviser - Employee Relations to support Cannock Chase District and Stafford Borough Councils. This role offers an opportunity to impact employee relations and engagement in a public sector environment. The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or have equivalent experience and possess strong advisory skills. The position is permanent, full-time, and based in Stafford, England.

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified to Level 5 or above, or demonstrate equivalent vocational experience.
  • Experience advising Senior Officers on casework in a public sector environment.

Principal HR Adviser - Employee Relations (HRP113)

Grade J (SCP 32 - 36) £42,839 - £47,181 per annum
37 Hours per week, Permanent

Cannock Chase District and Stafford Borough Councils’ shared HR Service is seeking two Principal HR Advisers to support our busy and professional team.

These exciting opportunities offer successful applicants a chance to play a key role in the ongoing development of our shared HR service working across two neighbouring Local Authorities.

Whether your interest lies in employee relations or engagement these opportunities offer a varied and interesting workload helping our two Councils to deliver excellent services to our communities. We have an ambitious agenda over the coming years as we support our Councils through the changing landscape of Local Government and we’re looking for passionate professionals to support that journey.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advisory support within the shared HR service across Cannock Chase District and Stafford Borough Councils.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of employee relations and engagement activities.
  • Advise and work with Senior Officers on a wide range of casework in a public sector or similarly complex environment.
