We are a specialist transport planning and infrastructure design consultancy known for our expertise in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for a wide range of development projects. Our work focuses on the concept and planning stages of highway design, helping to shape masterplans, assess feasibility, and develop preliminary layouts that support the planning process.
As a Principal Highways Technician, you will play a key role in producing high-quality designs and drawings, working closely with transport planners and engineers to develop creative and practical solutions for urban extensions, commercial developments, and regeneration schemes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Producing preliminary and concept-level highway designs, access arrangements, and junction layouts using AutoCAD and associated design tools.
  2. Working alongside transport planners to integrate highway solutions into Transport Assessments, Feasibility Studies, and Masterplans.
  3. Leading and mentoring junior technicians, ensuring high standards in drawing production.
  4. Engaging with external stakeholders, including local authorities and developers, to help refine proposals.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Strong experience in highways design, particularly at the concept and planning stage - however, candidates with a detailed design background who are looking to transition into early-stage design are also encouraged to apply.

Rewards and Benefits:

  1. Competitive salary with a discretionary bonus.
  2. Pension scheme, health and wellbeing support, season ticket loan, and cycle-to-work scheme.
  3. Professional membership support to help with your career development.
  4. Hybrid working for a better work-life balance.
  5. The opportunity to buy or sell annual leave to suit your needs.
  6. A supportive and collaborative working environment, with a strong network of emerging professionals.

If you're passionate about shaping the future of transport infrastructure and want to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, we'd love to hear from you!
