Responsibilities:

We are searching for an experienced hardware cybersecurity architect to join the GPU Hardware Team and help us develop secure GPUs powering the devices of tomorrow.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting HW security for the Mali and Immortalis GPUs. You will guide and technically lead other engineers as they develop parts of the GPU that affects security.

  1. Improve the security of our GPUs through investigating architecture or microarchitecture changes. Lead the implementation of such changes.
  2. Carry out security reviews of the GPU hardware taking relevant system aspects into account such as firmware and software. Identify potential vulnerabilities and suggest ways to reduce the risk of these.
  3. Guide, teach and mentor colleagues to understand how to reduce the likelihood of vulnerabilities, potential side channels and attack surfaces.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Owned and carried out either design or verification of complex digital hardware units from specification to design sign-off.
  2. Good understanding of embedded systems with software, firmware and hardware components. Experience in identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities in such systems.
  3. Ability to work with a high level of independence and schedule own work and tasks. Communicate effectively in spoken and written English.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience with HW Cybersecurity requirements, threat modelling, security mechanisms and incident management.
  2. Experience with system development adhering to ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity Standard for Road Vehicles.
  3. Familiar with functional safety aspects of design and verification, including knowledge of ISO 26262.
  4. Experience with high level programming in such as C/C++.
  5. Leadership experience.
  6. Experience in presenting and explaining to colleagues as well as at international conferences.
