Principal Grid Engineer

Large consultancy working across renewables & Power-to-X projects

Up to £80,000 DOE

We've partnered with a leading consultancy, working across multiple sectors on an exciting hire. This position is at the heart of the technical team, working closely with the power systems, grid & networks team.

The group aims to become a global leader in sustainability solutions. They have expanded globally, offering various technical services within this sector. This role is within the renewable energy consultancy arm, focusing on on & offshore wind, solar, BESS, and Power-To-X projects.

Originally a standalone team, they have received significant funding from the wider organization, enabling substantial growth and exploration of new technologies.

As a consultancy, they work on diverse technologies with different industry players, making each day unique!

We seek someone with experience in:
- Power systems modelling, feasibility studies, and regulatory assessments.
- Providing expert advice on UK grid regulations and grid code compliance.
- Liaising with DNOs, TSO, and NESO for grid offers on behalf of clients.
- Supporting clients with grid connection agreements and negotiations.
- Mentoring junior engineers in this field.
