• Significant UK consultancy experience in geo-environmental engineering / contaminated land.
• Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and guidance.
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence
• Chartered status (Geological Society, ICE or similar) with several years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geo-environmental and contaminated land projects from inception through to completion.
• Design, procure and supervise site investigations and remediation works; interpret site data.
• Prepare and review Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports, remediation strategies and verification reports.
• Undertake and review risk assessments.

Role Description

T his is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong professional to lead complex site investigation and contaminated land projects, manage client relationships, and support the continued growth of our geo-environmental (and geotechnical) team. The Principal Geo-tech/Geo-environmental Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sheffield. The role involves delivering a wide range of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure and regeneration. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide technical guidance, mentor junior staff, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This role would suit an ambitious engineer looking for a pathway to Technical Director/Director level within a supportive business.

The role, based in Sheffield but covering sites within the wider Yorkshire region and beyond, will see you:

• Lead and manage geo-environmental and contaminated land projects from inception through to completion

Qualifications and experience

Degree qualified in Geology.

• Significant UK consultancy experience in geo-environmental engineering / contaminated land
• Strong technical knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and guidance
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams
• Commercially aware with strong client-facing skills
• Excellent report writing and communication skills

• Full UK driving license
• Chartered status (Geological Society, ICE or similar) with several years related experience.
