Energy Jobline ZR in Birmingham is recruiting a Principal Geotechnical Engineer for its ground investigation and design team. This permanent role offers a senior technical and client-facing position with project leadership responsibilities and scope to mentor colleagues.

The successful candidate will lead ground investigation strategies, interpret ground data, and deliver geotechnical assessments and designs for a varied UK project portfolio. Hybrid working and career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in ground investigation and design elements such as slopes and retaining walls.
• Chartered status or clear route towards chartership is beneficial.
• Live within commutable distance of Birmingham/Wolverhampton; UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role across a varied portfolio of UK projects.
• Contribute to ground investigation strategies and interpretation of ground data.
• Prepare geotechnical assessments, reporting and design.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and engage with clients.

Job DescriptionPrincipal Geotechnical Engineer Birmingham Permanent Opportunity £45,000 to £65,000 per Annum We're working with a well-established and growing consultancy to recruit a Principal Geotechnical Engineer for its ground investigation and design team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer looking to take a leading role across a varied portfolio of UK projects. You'll combine technical expertise with project leadership, client engagement and the opportunity to mentor and develop colleagues. The Principal Geotechnical Engineer will contribute to ground investigation strategies, interpretation of ground data, geotechnical assessments, reporting and design. You'll work collaboratively with specialists across investigation and consulting, providing practical engineering solutions and helping clients manage ground-related risk. We're looking for a technically strong Principal Geotechnical Engineer with sound commercial awareness and experience leading projects and supporting junior engineers.
