Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £38,000 – £45,000

An exciting opportunity for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead a team of ground investigation specialists has presented itself in Newcastle. You’ll be working with an award-winning multi-disciplinary team of engineers on a huge range of projects in the North East, supervising and leading site investigations from start to finish. If you’re looking for a step up in responsibility and skillset, this is the ideal role for you.

The successful Principal Geotechnical Engineer will receive:

The Principal Geotechnical Engineer selected will have a variety of responsibilities. These include:

  • Leading site investigations.
  • Project managing.
  • Liaising closely with clients, contributing to business development, contract managing, tendering and team development.
  • Overseeing site work and reviewing report work.
  • Mentoring junior team members.

As a result, the Principal Geotechnical Engineer role requires extensive experience in the industry, with knowledge of site investigation practices. You should have an industry relevant degree (for example geology, geotechnical engineering, environmental science, geoscience or civil engineering etc), a full UK Driving Licence, a full right to work in the UK and be commutable to the Newcastle area.
