Overview

Principal Geotechnical Engineer – Newcastle – Permanent – £45,000 to £60,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established team in Newcastle.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in geoenvironmental consulting/engineering geology, leading a team, reviewing and signing off on technical reports. This role demands strong technical and management capabilities along with excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead the environmental teams, providing technical guidance and leading project delivery
  • Review and sign off on technical reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Engage with stakeholders including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met
  • Manage and administer projects including tendering, resource allocation, and financial oversight
  • Provide expert advice and support on geotechnical and environmental issues, with a focus on quality and innovation
