Job summary

Strata Consulting Limited is seeking a Senior/Principal Contract Geotechnical Engineer for roles across Aberdeen, Edinburgh or London. Hybrid or remote working is considered for the right candidate. The contract offers a competitive rate with immediate or short-notice availability preferred.

You will support a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy on a contract basis, providing technical expertise across development and infrastructure projects with autonomy to hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• UK consultancy experience required.
• Background in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering.
• Senior or Principal level experience preferred.

We are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who can provide immediate technical support across a range of development and infrastructure projects.

You’ll be involved in:

• Ground investigations & ground modelling
• Shallow & deep foundation design
• Slope stability assessments
• Earthworks & ground improvement
• Retaining wall design
• Soil-structure interaction
• Temporary & permanent works
• Piling & foundation solutions
• Technical reports & design reviews
• Project delivery & technical support

We’re particularly interested in engineers with strong UK consultancy experience and a background in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering.

Experience at Senior or Principal level would be particularly beneficial, with the ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running.
