Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the Birmingham region. You will sit alongside the business owner, taking shared responsibility for technical delivery, strategic growth and day-to-day management.

This is a leadership role with a focus on delivering high-quality ground investigations, building client relationships and driving business development. You will lead brownfield and residential projects, oversee Phase I/II reporting, mentor junior staff, and

Qualifications

Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnics or similar.
5+ years of UK ground investigation consultancy experience.
Strong Phase I and Phase II interpretive report writing.
Proven project and client management experience.
Commercial awareness and business development appetite.

Responsibilities

Leading technical delivery across brownfield and residential development projects.
Managing all aspects of ground investigation, Phase I and Phase II reporting, foundation calculations, remediation methods, risk assessments and validations.
Business development and client relationship management.
Commercial awareness and contribution to overall business management.
Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
Project management from inception through to completion.
