Job description

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Level Geo-Environmental Engineer for either their Milton Keynes or Swindon offices with great development and progression prospects versus a larger consultancy.

They are a busy and friendly geo-environmental, geotechnical and site investigation company operating on varying size projects across the south of England, Wales and the Midlands for a range of clients from small to medium house builders to commercial businesses and mineral extraction, allowing staff to gather a breadth of knowledge in a short space of time.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and mentor a small team of Engineers
  2. Technical lead in team
  3. Carrying out Site Contamination Assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3.
  4. Carrying out Site Investigation for geotechnical appraisal and combined investigations using all common techniques.
  5. Scheduling contamination, waste classification and geotechnical laboratory testing
  6. Design of remediation works and validation
  7. Interpretative geo-environmental report writing
  8. Project management and client liaison, including project cost control
  9. Carry out infiltration testing.
  10. Good HSEQ understanding
  11. Full clean driving license

A thorough technical understanding of contaminated land legislation and consultancy would be required. Also, an understanding of interpretative geotechnical report writing would be beneficial.
