About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Fluid Systems Engineer to join our team to develop innovative solutions for industrial gas turbines, focusing on replacing obsolete auxiliary equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results and help shape the future of the sector.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Apply latest systems and technologies to enhance gas turbine auxiliary equipment performance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to ensure project success within budget and timelines.
  • Standardize and document engineering solutions.
  • Identify and source replacements for obsolete components to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Propose and implement product upgrades to improve lifecycle and prevent issues.
  • Address field issues through fault analysis and corrective actions.

Typical Outputs

  • Create and maintain P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD.
  • Generate purchase specifications and manage lifecycle within Siemens PLM.
  • Produce engineering documents such as calculations, reports, and datasheets.
  • Provide technical input for sales tenders and future upgrades.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, accredited by the Engineering Council.
  • Experience in Fluid Systems or similar roles, preferably with gas/steam turbines or auxiliary systems.
  • Knowledge of fluid system components and standards like ISO21789, SIL, PED, ATEX.
  • Understanding of fluid mechanics and ability to produce detailed documentation.

Skills

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP, MS Office, and familiarity with COMOS is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, mentor junior engineers, and lead tasks.
  • Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid working with occasional international travel for meetings and site surveys.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment.
