Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Edinburgh is seeking a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to lead technical delivery on major UK and international schemes, combining hydraulic modelling, hydrology and client responsibility.

You will provide technical leadership across flood risk and modelling, supervise junior staff, mentor colleagues, review complex hydraulic models and contribute to proposals and development of the technical service.

Qualifications

• Strong consultancy experience in flood risk and hydrology.
• Chartered professional status or working towards Chartership.
• Advanced hydraulic modelling and technical review capability.
• Experience delivering complex Flood Risk Assessments and hydrological studies.
• Strong client-facing and project management skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing technical staff.

The Opportunity

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to join its established water team. You will provide technical leadership across flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling while remaining closely involved in project delivery.
