Job summary

Strata Consulting is seeking a Principal Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer in Exeter to lead flood risk and drainage input on major projects. The role involves supervising a small team, preparing fee proposals, and managing financial and technical project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, degree in Civil Engineering, and expertise in FRA, SuDS, and Microdrainage software, with client-facing responsibilities and mentoring duties.

Qualifications

• Experience leading flood risk and drainage input on multiple projects.
• Minimum 7+ years in relevant field.
• Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments for planning and S104 submissions.
• Mentoring junior engineers and client facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the flood risk and drainage design on projects and manage the design process.
• Prepare fee proposals and oversee financial and technical running of projects.
• Deliver flood alleviation schemes for public and private sector clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain client relationships.
