Job Description:

Our client is seeking Firmware Engineers for contracts based in Luton, Bedfordshire. The Firmware Engineer will deliver firmware for complex digital systems that meet challenging future customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Design tools such as Xilinx, TCL, Verilog, System Verilog, and UVM
  • Develop FPGA architectures such as Xilinx 7, Xilinx UltraScale, Intel (Altera), or Microsemi (Actel)
  • Work with fast interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD
  • Generate code using model-driven engineering with Matlab and Simulink tools
  • Derive detailed firmware requirements and architecture from system requirements
  • Follow structured firmware design approaches (e.g., RTCA DO-254)
  • Implement cryptography and anti-tamper techniques
  • Apply artificial intelligence methods, including machine learning and genetic algorithms
  • Utilize electronics test methods and equipment
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Collaborate within mixed discipline teams

12-month contract based in Luton, primarily onsite work.
