The role involves fulfilling the legal responsibilities of a responsible person and fire safety manager at MAG buildings. You will manage a team of fire safety professionals to ensure compliance with fire safety legislation and MAG Fire Safety Framework standards.
This includes developing, managing, and ensuring compliance with the Fire Safety Management Plan, collaborating with departments, concessionaires, and third parties to ensure their adherence. You will support fire strategy development, fire design reviews, safety management reviews, and fire policy development to ensure legal compliance and safety standards.
The ideal candidate is a member of the Institute of Fire Engineers or a Fire Safety Manager with extensive experience in a commercial operational environment, preferably with airport experience or managing fire safety in complex premises. Strong communication, influencing skills, computer literacy, analytical ability, and attention to detail are essential. The candidate should be self-motivated, passionate about fire safety, and capable of prioritising tasks and visually identifying fire safety risks.
