Principal Fire Engineer Job in East Central London

in East Central London, for an established and leading fire consultancy. As a key part of the Fire Engineering team, you will be working through all stages of complex fire engineering projects. The role offers a salary of £65,000 – £90,000 + Bonus + 27 Days Holiday + BH + hybrid working + healthcare + continuous CPD / professional development.

They work across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, transport, healthcare, hospitality and nuclear.

Role & Responsibilities

• Reporting to Associate Fire Engineer / Associate Director
• Managing technical aspects of larger projects or components of major projects
• Support and mentor Fire Engineers within your team
• Delivery of fire consultancy services, designer services and fire strategies
• Manage internal and external enquiries
• Develop new and existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Lead the fire engineering team/s to deliver multiple projects
• Attend design team meetings throughout the project
• Support with business strategy and digital innovations
• Preparation of reports, engineering designs, calculations and specifications
• Project manage from start to end including financials, quality management planning and customer care.
• Client facing through the lifecycle of projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc
• CEng / IEng or working towards
• MIFIREE or working towards
• Ideally 7+ years’ experience in fire engineering
• Extensive experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK based projects
• Familiar with active passive and active fire protection systems
• Strong understanding of UK legislation/regulations and design guidance (will also consider applicants from New Zealand or Australia with similar regulations)
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines
• UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
