Job Description:

Wood is currently recruiting for contract Senior and Principal Environmental Engineers to provide services to our Technical HSE Team based in Reading.

You will be working alongside the Design HSE Group within the Engineering Department, liaising with the Group Manager Design HSE. The department is part of the New Energies business of Wood.

Requirements:
  • Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Membership of a recognised professional institution
  • Technical competence in core Environmental Engineering areas such as Emissions Quantification, Dispersion Modelling, BAT Analysis, Risk Assessments, and knowledge of international standards
  • Experience in Environmental Engineering within design settings like Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, LNG, Carbon Capture, or Hydrogen Production
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to manage own and others' work, strong customer focus, and team-working skills
  • Ability to meet delivery deadlines while collaborating in multifunctional teams
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering or Sustainability
  • Experience in the process industry, energy, oil and gas, refining, or petrochemical sectors
  • Leadership skills and experience
