Our geo environmental team provides specialist support to complex infrastructure developments and their operations. We have successfully supported our clients in delivering sustainable projects across a range of sectors including energy, industry, residential and port redevelopment.


Job Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented person, with excellent communication skills and technical ability, and who has a wide range of experience within the geo environmental sector. As well as being able to write and review detailed geo environmental assessment reports for human health and controlled waters, we are looking for a person who has also authored bespoke reports tailor made for the subject area.


This role might be right for you if you have:

  1. Experience and a track record in the production and technical reviewing of detailed geo environmental assessment reports including desk-based studies, general/detailed quantitative risk assessments, options appraisals, remediation strategies, specifications, verification and validation.
  2. Experience in authoring bespoke reports within the subject area which may be required to support a particular client/site requirement.
  3. An understanding of the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, and the production and review of associated reports including BRAG assessments, scoping reports, preliminary environmental information reports, environmental statements and associated documentation (such as statements of common ground, consultation documentation and writing written responses) for ground conditions.
  4. Experience in mineral, waste, soil resource and hydrogeological risk assessments would also be advantageous.
  5. A clear understanding of designing ground investigations, writing specifications and managing ground investigation contractors.
  6. An excellent understanding of regulatory and legal requirements in relation to contaminated land.
  7. Experience in dealing with the planning process in relation to contaminated land.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills.
  9. Good people skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
