Job description

Job Title: Project Engineering Manager – Site Engineering Delivery Authority

Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £80,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Management & integration of multi-disciplined engineering teams; leadership of engineering resources, delivery of engineering support to site major projects
  • Delivery of engineering aspects of projects to meet both customer and contractual obligations including engineering conflicts between disciplines, systems and capabilities
  • Ensure developed solutions are clearly defined, integrated, configured, controlled and delivered, including resolution of conflicts and integration issues that occur through development and delivery phases to meet site requirements. To support risk management strategies to influence project decisions
  • Perform appropriate engineering planning, management and review activities to ensure Projects are integrated, safe, fully compliant

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience that would support a Chartered membership application to a relevant institute
  • Previous experience of leading diverse engineering teams in a regulated environment
  • Diverse Project engineering background with a good understanding of key legal obligations for supporting large scale infrastructure projects

Desirable:

  • Experience in CDM/RIBA/LCMS relating to infrastructure/construction projects
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting major infrastructure projects
  • Working in highly regulated industries such as Oil & Gas/Rail/Aerospace/Nuclear

The Site Project Engineering Team:

As the Principal Project Engineering Manager, you will support the Chief Engineer in leading a multi-disciplined project engineering team to deliver deployed engineering support across a large portfolio infrastructure project with various budgets. You will ensure all projects have appropriate engineering support to enable delivery within cost and schedule in a safe, legal and compliant manner.
