Working as part of an Integrated Development Team, established to develop and deliver submarine systems/capability.
Specifically focusing on ensuring that Product Safety tasking and activities are completed across multiple systems in support of project milestones through all stages of Engineering Life Cycle Management.
Supporting Hazard Identification and Analysis studies.
Assisting with or generating safety reports.
Ensuring the Integrated Development Team operates within the project Safety Management System.
Liaising with other Integrated Development Teams and the Whole Boat Safety Team. If you are interested in understanding how submarines operate and how the Royal Navy operates the submarines, then this role is for you. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will assist System Engineers in influencing submarine systems and capability development. You will develop an understanding of how submarine systems work and work together and ensure that the system of system interactions considers Product Safety appropriately.
Minimum Requirements:

All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
