Murphy is recruiting for a Principal Design Engineer to join Murphy Applied Engineering in Cannock. The role focuses on delivering Permanent Works for Energy & Power projects, with responsibility for project deliverables, costs, and mentoring engineers within the team.

The ideal candidate will hold a HND/Bachelor/Master’s in Civil Engineering, be Chartered with ICE and/or IStructE, and demonstrate strong design, analytical, and financial management capabilities to drive solutions across diverse

Qualifications

• Strong analysis and design skills with the ability to interpret design requirements and analyse complex structures.
• Ability to manage projects from the design and cost perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Permanent Works schemes across Energy & Power projects.
• Be the single point of contact to multiple projects with responsibility for deliverables and costs.
• Mentor staff and manage the design work of others.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers to develop the department.
