Principal Engineer - New Build

The Principal Engineer will support the ADM in leading and developing a high-performing reliable team or partner relationship, that delivers a high quality, cost-efficient delivery output in a predictable and safe manner. Be accountable for key specific tasks within the operational delivery team and ensure they are executed professionally and recorded.

What will you be doing?

• Excellent understanding of fibre optic network architectures and installation methods to have the ability to make decisions.
• Be accountable for ensuring lead engineers or partners organise their Teams and deliver their work schedules daily.
• Ability to read data reports and interpret build test reports and analyse existing data.
• Audit quality installation against appropriate compliance standards.
• Follow good practice guidance and comply with health, safety and welfare policies including procedures relating to the reporting of accidents.
• Support the development and motivation of team members to fulfil their potential.

What we are looking for:

• NOTE - Roles within Infrastructure will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
• NOTE - Field-based roles are subject to a Monday – Sunday contract.
• Full UK Driving license required with no more than 6 points on your license.
• Experience in cabling infrastructure environment within underground duct networks and/or internal cabling structures within buildings.
• Openreach accreditation modules, particularly in underground safety and fibre optic cabling.
