Principal Design Engineer
12-month contract
From £70 per hour
Mostly remote with 2 days working on site per month

The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Principal Design Engineer to join a leading Nuclear Defence company in Plymouth working on a large-scale infrastructure project.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

1. 6-8+ years' experience of designing a mechanical services / process system.
2. Experience of working in a highly regulated industry, strong preference to nuclear.
3. Understanding of hydraulic / pressure calculations.
4. Understanding of hazard identification and analysis associated with process systems (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP etc)
5. BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
6. Experience checking design documentation.
7. Line management experience of 3+ direct reports.

Highly Desirable:

1. SC already
2. Masters' education
3. CEng or working towards
