Your new role

As Principal Engineer, you will lead Civil Engineering / Infrastructure design for projects within this discipline or interdisciplinary projects led by other departments. You will also collaborate with the wider Development teams across the UK.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate project research, site surveys, and inspections
• Prepare bid and contract documentation
• Manage financial aspects of projects, including fee forecasting and allocation
• Promote health and safety policies, including CDM Regulations, quality, and training
• Guide, instruct, motivate, and manage project staff
• Assess staff competency involved in projects
• Organize and conduct multiple activities simultaneously
• Build relationships, generate market intelligence, and identify new business opportunities
• Prepare bid documentation in collaboration with other disciplines

About you

• BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, MICE
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, and reporting
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
