Job summary

Arm Limited's Game & Graphics Technology Integration (GTI) team is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across game engines, graphics, and performance. This role blends hands-on engineering with architecture, mentoring and cross-team collaboration to prototype and drive practical solutions.

Based in Manchester with UK-wide flexibility, you will lead investigations into Arm graphics tech, work with Unreal Engine, analyse CPU/GPU performance, and mentor engineers

Qualifications

• Strong experience in graphics/game engine software or real-time applications.
• Proficiency with Vulkan or other modern graphics API and strong C++ skills.
• Experience with graphics debugging and profiling tools.
• Experience leading technical work across teams and influencing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead game-engine investigations and integrations with Arm graphics tech.
• Build prototypes, assess architectural options for reusable implementations.
• Analyse CPU/GPU performance and diagnose integration issues.
• Provide technical direction across teams and mentor engineers.
