You will drive pragmatic technical decisions, enable continuous deployment and secure coding practices while coaching engineers to deliver rapidly and safely.

The role emphasizes cloud-native platforms, event-driven integration, and AI-assisted engineering, with a strong focus on risk-aware, scalable systems within a banking context.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with principal-level leadership.
• Strong architecture judgement across distributed systems and cloud-native design.
• Hands-on credibility across front-end, back-end, data and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Co-own a high-performing engineering squad with a Product Manager and set direction.
• Define and evolve architecture across distributed services and API strategy.
• Lead deployment, testing and security practices for reliable production systems.
• Coach engineers, unblock delivery and drive engineering excellence.
• Embed AI-assisted practices while maintaining human oversight.
