What You'll Do

We’re seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer passionate about data, cloud technologies, and building scalable solutions. You will lead the design and implementation of data infrastructure for advanced analytics and data science, contribute to strategic product planning, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

1. Architect & Build Scalable Data Solutions
2. Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand data needs and design ingestion pipelines
3. Build robust ETL/ELT processes and data architectures using modern tools
4. Lead database design, data modeling, and integration strategies

Drive Data Integration & Management

1. Design secure, scalable data ingestion frameworks for various data types
2. Partner with teams to develop data exchange protocols, ensuring governance and security
3. Create and manage hybrid cloud data environments and support big data pipelines

Product Strategy & Execution

1. Contribute to the vision and roadmap of data products
2. Oversee product initiatives and lead cross-functional teams
3. Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and agile culture
4. Identify and mitigate risks, and report on product performance

Collaborate Across Disciplines

1. Work with data scientists to understand analytical needs and prepare datasets
2. Ensure data quality and model readiness
3. Promote a culture of quality, automation, and continuous improvement

Ensure Secure & Compliance Practices

1. Apply security principles to handle sensitive data securely
2. Build solutions with security, maintainability, and scalability in mind

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in data engineering, software development, or analytics
• Success in launching and scaling technical products or platforms
• Strong programming skills in at least two of: Python, SQL, Java
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Deep knowledge of database technologies: Spark, Hadoop, SQL databases, NoSQL
• Understanding of software engineering best practices
• Experience deploying applications in production environments
• Ability to extract insights from complex data sets and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of data security, compliance, and governance
• Leadership or influence in cross-functional teams
