Job summary

Collinson is seeking a visionary Principal Engineer to shape the next generation of our platform. You will lead the architectural direction for our API ecosystem, driving scalable, cloud-native distributed services built with REST, GraphQL, Kafka, and modern DevOps practices.

You will work hands-on with a modern stack (TypeScript, Node.js, React) and mentor multiple squads while collaborating with product and engineering leadership to accelerate delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting large-scale distributed systems in the cloud.
• Expertise in APIs, event-driven architectures, and containerised apps.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision for the API ecosystem and data plane.
• Lead design and development of scalable cloud-native services.
• Mentor engineers and tech leaders across squads.
