Job description

Our client, is currently seeking an experienced Principal Enforcement Officer for a contract position. This role involves ensuring compliance with housing standards through inspections and enforcement actions.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive inspections under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
  • Drafting detailed schedules of work and serving notices in accordance with the Housing Act 2004
  • Preparing prosecution bundles and providing testimony in court or at the First-tier Tribunal (FTT)
  • Issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs)
  • Managing conflicts effectively during enforcement activities


Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in carrying out HHSRS inspections
  • Proficiency in writing work schedules and serving statutory notices under the Housing Act 2004
  • Experience in preparing prosecution documentation and appearing as a witness in legal proceedings
  • Skilled in issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs)
  • Strong conflict management abilities
  • Significant experience in high-level enforcement actions, including prosecutions and CPNs
