Job summary

JD Ross Energy in the North West UK is seeking a Principal Energy Consultant to lead ESOS assessments, energy audits and SECR disclosures, helping public and private sector clients reach net-zero ambitions with practical, data-driven insights.

You'll combine advanced analytics with stakeholder engagement to deliver reports and strategic recommendations, build lasting client relationships and contribute to business growth in a remote, nationally-focused role.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and delivering ESOS assessments for organisations across a range of industries.
  • Conducting energy audits covering buildings, transport and industrial processes.
  • Preparing SECR disclosures and carbon reports.
  • Calculating Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions using GHG Protocol methodologies.
  • Supporting the development of net-zero strategies and carbon reduction plans.
  • Advising clients on energy efficiency, regulatory compliance and sustainability performance.
  • Producing insightful reports, presentations and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Building long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted sustainability advisor.
  • Supporting business growth through proposals, tenders and thought leadership.

Principal Energy Consultant - North West UK (Remote)

We're partnering with a highly respected independent consultancy that helps public and private sector organisations improve energy performance, meet regulatory requirements, and develop credible pathways to net zero. With a growing portfolio of clients and projects, they're looking for a Principal Energy Consultant to play a key role in delivering high-impact advisory services.

The Opportunity:

As a Principal Energy Consultant, you'll lead a diverse range of energy and carbon projects, acting as a trusted advisor to clients across multiple sectors. You'll combine technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills to deliver practical solutions that create measurable environmental and commercial value.

From ESOS assessments and carbon reporting to net-zero planning and sustainability strategy, you'll have the opportunity to influence real change while working alongside a collaborative and expert team.
