Job Title:

Principal Electrical Power Engineer

Location:

Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Weymouth, Filton, Portsmouth, Frimley, Manchester – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment
  2. Authoring and reviewing technical documentation
  3. Managing associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies
  4. Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines
  5. Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems
  6. Taking a leading role by guiding more junior members of the team through the systems definition process
  7. Opportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various BAE, customer and supplier sites

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  1. Degree qualified Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience
  2. Engineering Chartership required (or significant progress towards Chartership can be demonstrated)
  3. Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
