Job Title: Principal Electrical Power Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Weymouth, Filton, Portsmouth, Frimley, Manchester - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

What you'll be doing:

1. Designing and defining Electrical Power Systems equipment.
2. Authoring and reviewing technical documentation.
3. Managing technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
4. Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across engineering disciplines.
5. Engaging with customers and suppliers to resolve complex problems.
6. Leading and mentoring junior team members through the systems definition process.
7. Traveling to various UK locations, including BAE, customer, and supplier sites.

Your skills and experiences:

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
2. Chartered Engineer status or significant progress towards Chartership.
3. Extensive knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Electrical Power Systems Definition team:

Work on the UK's next-generation SSN design, defining equipment needs, system elements, design documentation, spatial modeling, and build outputs. Relocation support is available for eligible roles.
