We seek a skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to lead designs and projects in the Data Centre sector.

The Opportunity

We are offering an opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design packages and discipline projects within our Building Engineering Team. You will manage projects from initial brief through design to installation and commissioning, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior colleagues.

This role involves:

  • Leading planning and delivery of electrical work packages on complex projects
  • Ensuring high standards in design and documentation
  • Working closely with clients to meet their needs
  • Presenting technical material to diverse audiences
  • Contributing to design studies and reports
  • Mentoring junior team members
  • Managing project finances and resources
  • Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams

Is this role right for you?

Candidates should have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred), with Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE / IET or equivalent)
  • Experience in leading electrical projects, especially in data centres
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and power system modeling tools like SKM, ETAP
  • Strong organizational skills in fast-paced environments
