Clancy is pleased to be working on the SSE framework across the South, and as a result, we have several positions for experienced Electrical Engineers/Principal Electrical Engineers.

The role:

1. You will fulfill the duties of the Principal Designer as defined under CDM, including, where necessary, carrying out the role of CDM-Advisor to support the client.
2. You’ll have relevant experience ensuring that multiple team members and duty holders such as the client, designers, contractors, and other internal multidisciplinary team members cooperate with each other and that relevant duties are complied with.
3. You’ll be planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating pre-construction phases of projects to identify, eliminate, or control significant and foreseeable risks relating to construction.
4. You’ll work with the client to gather pre-construction information, assess its adequacy, identify gaps, provide advice on how they might be filled, and distribute this information to those who need it.
5. You’ll be managing multiple projects for key clients, particularly focused on the power distribution sector.
6. You’ll attend client meetings, carry out H&S site inspections, and deliver high-quality reports within agreed deadlines.
7. You will provide clear, concise, and practical Health and Safety advice, guidance, and coaching to project teams throughout all stages of the project.
8. You’ll be responsible for collating, preparing, and issuing Health & Safety Files to the client.
