Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services engineering.
• Chartered status through CIBSE or IET preferred.
• Strong Building Services consultancy/product delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services designs from concept to delivery.
• Manage project programmes, resources, and fees.
• Be primary client contact and coordinate external design teams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across sectors.
• Produce/review calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Mentor and develop engineers across the business.

A highly respected sustainability-led Building Services and Environmental Design consultancy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join its growing London team. The Role

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, youll act as both a Project Lead and a senior technical authority across multiple projects. Youll be responsible for leading electrical design delivery, managing client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Leading electrical building services designs from concept through to delivery
• Managing project programmes, resources and fees
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and external design teams
• Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
• Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications and technical reports
• Mentoring and developing engineers across the business
• Supporting repeat business and long-term client relationships

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical, Building Services or a related engineering discipline
• Chartered (or working towards Chartership) through CIBSE or IET
• Strong Building Services consultancy experience
• Proven track record leading projects and managing clientsExperience using Revit, AutoCAD and BIM workflows
• Passion for sustainable, low-energy building design
• Strong leadership, communication and project management skills
